HOW TO DRY SKIN BRUSH

  1. ensure that your brush is dry

  2. dry skin brush before a bath or shower

  3. YOU CAN START EITHER AT YOUR FINGERS OR AT THE SOLES OF YOUR FEET.

  4. ALWAYS BRUSH TOWARDS YOUR HEART WORKING FROM THE FINGERTIPS UP TOWARDS THE SHOULDERS AND DOWN TOWARDS YOUR HEART.

  5. THEN FROM THE SOLES OF YOUR FEET UP YOUR LEGS AND AGAIN TOWARDS YOUR HEART.

  6. ONCE YOU HAVE WORKED YOUR WAY UP TO YOUR STOMACH BRUSH IN SMALL ANTI-CLOCKWISE CIRCLES WORKING YOUR WAY UP.

  7. YOU CAN THEN SHOWER AS USUAL OR IF THE INSPIRATION TAKES YOU, TAKE A COLD SHOWER INCREASING THE TEMPERATURE AS AND WHEN NEEDED.

 
 

FACIAL DRY BRUSHING

ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE A SMALL SOFT-BRISTLED BRUSH AND APPLY WITH SMALL CIRCULAR MOTIONS STARTING FROM THE TOP OF YOUR FOREHEAD WORKING DOWNWARDS TOWARDS YOUR HEART.


WHAT BRUSH AND BRUSH CARE

  • Opt for a natural bristled brush or sea sponge.

  • there are a variety of different sizes and shapes for smaller and larger areas. Long wooden handled brushes are fantastic for dry brushing your back. Smaller softer bristled brushes suited to facial dry brushing.

  • Wash your brush or sponge with soap every week to clean away the build-up of dead skin cells.

  • Replace your brushes, if used frequently every year.
