HOW CARRY OUT A COFFEE ENEMA
THE HOW, WHAT AND WHEN OF THE COFFEE ENEMA PROCESS
We each come with varying needs and levels of health. it is important to read the instructions and to allow yourself the time and space to practice. if you are constipated or experience chronic constipation then please work through the options below before embarking on the coffee enema.
If you have any specific concerns you may find that it is appropriate to discuss the desire to practice coffee enemas with your doctor/physician prior to starting.
THE EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS THAT YOU NEED FOR A COFFEE ENEMA
Stainless Steel Enema Bucket Kit (or enema bag kit)
Rubber/silicon tube, clasp and insertion tip
Stainless Steel Cooking Pot
Organic Enema Coffee
Purified or distilled water
Organic raw Coconut Oil
Timer
towels, blanket, pillows (optional)
PURE, CLEAN AND ORGANIC
Directly inserting substances in to your colon bypasses the livers filtration process. While accessing the liver via the highly absorbent tissues of the colon is exactly what you are wanting to achieve with a coffee enema, it is important to remember that the liver will not be filtering out the heavy metals, chemicals and toxic particles as it otherwise would. It is essential to ensure that the products and methods you use to prepare your solution be pure, clean and organic.
A COLONIC CLEAR OUT - an enema before the enema
If you are constipated start by doing a warm water enema only.
A water enema is an excellent way to relieve constipation which is important. The difference is that coffee enema’s are a detoxification tool while water enema’s are colon cleansing. A water enema will not activate the liver in to a detoxification process as a coffee solution would, focus on relieving constipation prior to starting to work with the coffee, asking the body to release toxins in to a congested bowel is to be avoided.
WHAT COFFEE do i use?
Be sure to USE CAFFEINATED COFFEE, as decaffeinated coffee will simply not work. As mentioned, it is really important to USE ORGANIC COFFEE.
Opinion differs on the whether a lighter or darker roast is best however ultimately I recommend opting for a specialised enema coffee. Freshly grinding your beans is ideal however the most important thing is to get started so opt for what works.
STEP #1 COFFEE ENEMA - PREPARATION
Wash your enema bucket/bag, tubes and insertion tip with warm soapy water making sure that all soap residue is completely rinsed away. Youc an also run boiling water through your bucket and tube for as an additional hygiene measure.
Place 2 cups of purified/distilled water in to your stainless steel pot with 2 tablespoons of your finely ground enema coffee.
Please note: use 1 teaspoon of ground coffee the first time that you practice an enema. If you know that you are sensitive to coffee then you can begin with as little as a 1/4 of a teaspoon or even as little as a pinch of coffee.Bring the coffee and water to boil with the lid on and then reduce it to simmer for a further 15 minutes.
Allow the mixture to cool. There is not a lot that can go “wrong” when carrying out an enema, but having a solution that is TOO HOT is one of them! Likewise you do not want your solution to be too cold. Aim for a warm solution that is comfortable to the touch.
If you are pressed for time, use half of the water to boil and top up with the remaining half once done.Follow the instructions provided with your kit and ensure that the tubes are correctly connected with the lever turned to “off” - otherwise the solution will flow out.
Pour the solution into your enema bucket/bag. I recommend the stainless steel buckets as they are easier to manage and clean however the bags are good if you are wanting a cheaper option or are travelling.
It is best to practice your enema in the morning on an empty stomach as the caffeine will for most people work to stimulate your system. If you have not had a bowel movement you may find, particularly in the beginning, that you might want to start with a water enema to encourage a bowel movement as this will minimise any urge to release the bowels while holding on to the coffee solution.
The aim of a coffee enema, no matter the amount of ground coffee used, is to be able to retain it in your colon for at least 15 minutes as this is the amount of time it takes to activate the liver. if you feel that you would like to try this first, boil and cool down your purified water until it is warm and follow the instructions below.
CARRYING OUT THE ENEMA
I recommend performing your enema while lying in the bath. You can make the space comfortable and lay towels and even pillows down if you desire.
The fluid requires gravity to feed it down the tube, so find a place to hang your bucket/bag above you. If you are lacking a reasonable hanging spot then you can literally hold it above you however a hook, door handle or rail is the preferred option as you can then focus on relaxing.
Lubricate the tip that you will be inserting into your rectum with a thick slathering of organic coconut oil.
Test to see if the solution is coming out of the insertion tip before getting into the bath.
Set your timer for 15 minutes.
Insert the lubricated tip in to your anus. It may feel awkward but there should be no pain. If there is coat with more coconut oil.
Use the lever to manage the flow of the solution to the speed that is comfortable for you.
If you feel discomfort or the desire to pass stool then massage your abdomen in a clockwise motion and breathe. If you are unable to hold on then by all means go to the toilet and pass as needed. This is about practice and your body learning how to work through an enema.
Ensure that the solution is moving through the tube.
Listen to music, meditate, breath.
When you are ready turn off the lever and pass the contents of your bowel.
After an enema it is ideal to drink water, a freshly pressed vegetable juice or cleansing tea. You may feel light-headed so go ahead and eat as needed.
